About the Course
This one-day course consists of practical and theoretical activities which will give all attending professional clinicians the chance to refresh their existing first-aid knowledge and skills in a safe and friendly environment. The syllabus covers a range of subjects including Responsibilities and Reporting, Unconscious Casualty Management, Resuscitation, AED Awareness, Bleeding Control, Shock, Burns, Choking, Epilepsy and other conditions.
This nationally recognised qualification is awarded by the Ofqual regulated Awarding Organisation First Aid Awards, and meets the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and subsequent 2016 changes. It is delivered in accordance with the protocols set by the latest UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines and is valid for three years from the date of achievement.
